Idylic place in Wales

This was truly the most amazing place I have been. Way up off the beaten track..takes about 5 minute drive off a road, across private farmland...and on a hill top is this beautiful house. Built in the 1600's, the barn has been converted into a really modern house for all their family when they come to stay. It is beautiful...full of lots of interesting pieces from travelling the world. ey have 4 acres of land and woodland...a gorgeous big pond and a 600 year old oak tree, that there daughter got married under. It is in the middle of nowhere...no neighbours. It is stunning. I was speechless!

A million pictures from Hay

Lola having her face paintes....it was her favourite thing of the whole trip..she loved it.

The worlds largets second hand book store....amazing. There are so many little book shops in Hay..some that are jsut for kids and illustrations, some that are just for murder mystery...all very specialised.

Loads of people just hang out in deckchairs around the festival..very British with Asparagus and strawberries for sdale, and a champagne bar close at hand!

Wild flower garden for kids

Woody...obviously loving it!!

Great to see Michelle again..like no time had passed at all (its been over 10 years!!)

Decorated bus stop at festival site.

Such a great place...would be great to go and actually listen to the talks and see more performances!! And apparently the bookmarks went down a storm..everyone loved them!!
